Excellent Service

We are all quick to criticise the abysmal service that we get from support lines etc., but I would like to mention the opposite scenario.
In June, I purchased a Xerox colour laser printer and was delighted with the quality and speed. Last weekend, it suddenly started printing out of position on the paper. I called the Xerox help line on Wednesday, requesting service under the warantee. On Thursday, an engineer took a 2 1/2 hour drive to my house and fixed it in less than five minutes. He showed my wife exactly what the problem was and how to fix it if it re-occurred. He also gave her some tips on routine maintenance / cleaning, before making his return journey. So, thanks to Xerox for an excellent response.

Didn't fly from India then..... ;)

Xerox always have been good on support.

yes....and what about poor old PC World...(who always get it in the neck)!!...took my month old PB PC back today cos the CD/DVD writer packed up. It was as (even) I thought....the laser had 'gone'....was offered a new pc or wait a week to get a new writer fitted.

Rather than have to reload everything I will wait.

I thought this worth a mention because PC W does not (rightly so) have a good reputation!!

A 3 minute job if you take your time over it.

Excellent Service

.........and you know what you are doing Dave!
.......but I agree. I'm not too clever when it comes to the 'inner workings' of the PC....but I can do those things.....except when it is a month old and under warranty........cos' you know how quickly PC W would jump on something like "you opened the case etc"!
