Displaying email addresses

<p>In the interests of your own security, I would advise you to set your profile so that it does not display your email address. We have had some information that indicates spammers are trawling phBB forums for email addresses, and we've also seen an increase in registrations from Russia, which often trace back to rather dodgy sites!</p>

<p>In addition, beware of clicking on links in profiles. At least one member has tried to include a link to a pornography site, while others contain links to sites that inlcude malicious code to hijack your browser. </p>

<p>Only click on links from trusted sources, use a browser like Mozilla Firefox that is more difficult to exploit and ensure you are using anti-hijacking tools such as Spybot Search and Destroy or BHO demon.</p>
