New format - Why?
GRDrury - 15 July 2008 - 10:55amSorry but I could see nothing intrinsically wrong with the old format. In fact PCA was way the best of all mags of this genre. Now it seems to have lost its way.
Ever since Roman times (Caius Petronius if I remember correctly) there seems to have been an assumption that since improvement means change, then the reverse is also true. Maybe that explains a lot about the world today
Its easy when you know how
Somewhat harder when you don't!
New method of binding
peterbaker - 19 July 2008 - 2:55pmI am getting used to the new layout and I think that it will grow on me. However, I hope that Vista is not going to take over the publcation, after all, there are more XP users than Vista. Also, the new binding method (stapled through the spine) now means that after not much handlling, the pages split and end up on the floor. If this continues, I don't think that I wiil save my copies. See what you can do old chap!

PCA New Format Comments
pca_Deis M Brock - 4 August 2008 - 7:27pmI see little improvement to either the quantity or content in the new format.
1. Too much space is wasted on advertising the content of the magazine.
2. Most of the topics/problems are not discussed in detail especially if the subject is a little tricky eg Networks. Whereas if the subject is trivial then the subject is considered in great detail.
3. Too many unnecessary graphics to use up magazine space.
4. Important topics are not discussed eg Net.Framework (This aspect will be the cause of many future problems now that some of the new Microsoft software requires its presence). Also the removal of Microsoft Updates Uninstallers.
5. You cannot stand adverse criticism only misguided praise
Improving The Magzine With More Sections
magicdash - 10 August 2008 - 10:56amTo make PC Answers a great magazine, why not double up the pages with more sections? For example, step-by-step guide to XP and Vista, tips and advice, hardware solutions and so on.
