but like others - it does not ring my bell.
The whole issue is too fussy - saturated by colour (A la Vista?)
Look at the congestion on page 6/7 !!
Look at the united front detailed on page 8 (come on guys, leave it out!)
Any magazine that includes (for the millioneth time) "How can I make my PC go faster?" has lost its way.
Joking aside, you have not really attracted new readership - in consequence the loyal base who have subscribed for years, have a level of knowledge that perhaps takes them outside the scope of the new mag (Complete with its make windows go faster) Sorry guys, but you have lost touch with who speands the money, and what they want to read.

Frankly dissappointed
thecomputerpostman - 15 July 2008 - 7:26pmI've come in on this topic late having just returned to a pile of post on my door step...
I honestly thought I'd received a different magazine.
As for the web site - where is the wealth of material which I used to consult on a regular basis?
I started to look at previous issues (5 years on my shelf above me, another four boxed) and I realise this has been gradually happening over a number of issues
It seems to me there has been a level of dumbing down with more space devoted to irrelevant graphics (but they do look pretty)
The AV tutorials are useful as support to a topic - here they seem to replace it.
Now you've given us 103 tips what else is there to cover?
Was this list written by a group of 11 year old school pupils as part of an IT project?
When I read tip no.2 (turn off system restore) I wondered about the wisdom and how a newbie could recover from a major crash?
As for the disc - (one of my prime reasons for buying when I started with the mag with issue 66) where is the 'on your disc' reference in the mag?
Indeed, where is the software other than a few useful utilities?
The 'old' PC Answers occupied a niche - satisfying a mix of newbie - to advanced users.
Has the 'new' turned its back on the current readership?
I'm sorry but you market research sucks and I agree that your existing market may well suffer. All aboard the Titanic!
