Wireless on a virgin cable broadband

I want to move the PC into another room, so Wireless seems the obvious choice. I am on Virgin Broadband with a TERAYON cable modem fitted with both USB and Ethernet connectors. Do I simply need 'any' wireless router connected to the modem or do I need to replace the modem with a suitable cable router/modem?

You can get a wireless

You can get a wireless router that connects to the ethernet port on your current cable modem, and from there either wired, or wireless outputs.

make sure that its suitable for a cable conection, as theres quite a few that have built in adsl modems for BT conections.

You might also want to

You might also want to consider a homeplug solution, it is faster and more reliable than wireless. Not much difference in cost if you are starting from scratch. Available from -
