Unfortunately I don't know how to do this, but have you checked with Lexmark? You may find the answer is at its support site here, or try contacting it directly using the details here.
This one way the printer companies stop you refilling their cartridges. The chip id is kept in the memory of the printer so that if you refill it and try to use it, it thinks it is empty and will not install. I have got round this in the past by installing a spare cart, taking it out and installing the refilled one. It then thinks the cart has been changed and accepts the refill. Unfortunately you need a couple of spares to do this. This was just one of the many reasons I stopped using Lexmark printers.
I can't get over the pricing for ink it's worth more then oil gallon for gallon and makes no sense then you have companies doing whatever they can to make you buy their cartridges again etc. There isn't cheap ink or cheap laser toner anywhere the low prices online are about as low as you can get but still expensive.
