flash problem

This problem has just recently started happening. I have my own website which comprises of html pages and flash pages. Viewing the site with Internet explorer and Firefox causes no prblems and everything looks fine. If I try to view the website locally ie the files stored on my computer, the html views fine but the flash just creates a blank page. If I move the files to my laptop (vista not xp) they view fine.

I have updated to latest Flash player version. Could this be the problem?

compatibility?

Hi Dave,

Flash runs according to many factors, speed of PC speed of Connection, memory, download and all, if you upgraded recently adobe provides a readme file on these factors on its website.

How did the initial flash graphic look after your new files uploaded?  If it uploaded slow then you might have memory problems with the new flash player or it could just be your upload speeds.

Try this and see if you get an improvement

1. uninstall the update (you can always re-install it later if you wish)

2. run Internet Explorer

3. bring up your web page.

remember - just uninstall the Update, or you will have to re-install flash

if the update is at fault, your flash graphics should appear on the web page.

if this doesn't work try the troubleshoot tools in windows.

and dont get rid of the update - keep a copy on disc!

Thanks for your reply, but

Thanks for your reply, but you havent read the question properly. I dont have any problems with my actual website. Uploading , downloading or viewing. I only have problems with the COPY of the website on my computer. If I try to run it the FLASH sections of my site display a blank page, although there is a DONE sign with an exclamation mark in the left hand corner of the screen.
