Emergency Startup Memory Stick?

A few issues ago, I think it was Tanya had an article on how to create an emergency startup drive on a memory stick.

Please can someone tell me what issue it was in? And possibly the page number if it's not too much trouble....

Thanks in advance

Haven't found that one but

Haven't found that one but there's a linux one for USB stick on page 86, March 2008,issue 182.

They tell us not to clutter up our HDDs and then make the database run from installation not from disc!! Haven't checked recent DB therefore.

Just found it

Page 76,issue 176,Oct.2007.  Didn't think it was so long ago. I must be getting very old, with time starting to go so quickly.  Laughing

USB Boot

Make sure your PC is capable of booting from USB before you go to the trouble of making an emergency boot stick. Many are not.Frown

Hi Colin

Your answer is correct. I am now trying to goto http://tinyurl/.com/ydao7p  to download the format program for the usb. But its no longer there. Do you happen to know of an alternative site ?

Thanks in advance
