I have a Belkin54g wireless router and know nothing about wireless setup at all. I bought this for my Wii and set it up via the disc that came with the router. I dont remember entering a password at that time. That was about 8 months ago. Now I have an iphone and would like to log onto my wifi at home with my phone but I have no idea what the password is when prompted to enter it. I would also like my friends to be able to log on when they bring thier phones or computers to the house.
I logged onto the Belkin wireless router setup utility and entered/setup an administrator password. This has done nothing, I still can't log on when entering this password on my iphone. Any ideas? As I said, I know very litte about this, I would just like to use my wifi.
Thanks in advance for any input.

Isitme - 26 September 2008 - 4:29pmIt will be looking for the wireless security password or key. I don't know about the Belkin but most routers show this on the Wireless set up page. It will be either WPA or WEP encrytion. If you did not change the password or key from the default, this is sometimes shown on a label on the router. Most routers can be returned to default settings, usually be pushing a pin into a recessed switch at the rear.
